I came in to my office building today at lunch after running an errand and ran into an impromptu Lion Dancing exhibition in celebration of Chinese New Year. I shot these videos with my cell phone video camera so they're not so great but you should be able to see their magnificence!

Trip To Stanley

Stanley is a nice little area on the south part of Hong Kong island about 20 mins from Central. It was a little cold the day we went, but it is a good place to go get away plus they've got a great market with all sorts of cool stuff. Here's a lil' clipio.

The Chinese New Year is in full swing! The "Spring Festival" as it is known is one of the biggest holidays here and everybody is taking some time off to celebrate the arrival of the Year of the RAT!


Umanling and I attended the annual New Year's parade in Kowloon on Thursday night...we were a bit back from the action but here are some photos anyway along with some general pictures documenting the festivus.....

At the parade there were many sights, but not too many good photos, sadly. Even more sad was the fact that I brought the camcorder yet when I pulled it out it was out of juice...so sad.
